They are going to be getting Rites, just like the new factions for the combo map. I sincerely hope it's well addressed before then, and would be happy to wait an extra month (or two) if that helped them have the time needed to put out a better 'grand campaign'. The whole thing won't really be an issue (for me) until the combined map is put together and brought out. In that light, I still find (most) of the Game 1 factions equally interesting, and am sure I'll probably feel that way about the Game 2 factions as well.

Other than the merged campaign though, I think game one and two need to be taken on their own terms and not compared directly. My biggest fear is that that campaign gets rushed out as something of an afterthought, when (in my eyes) it has the potential to be the true star of the show if sufficiently polished. I do sincerely hope that some sort of overhaul for old world factions gets implemented for the merged-map campaign. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.
